The Mumbai bureau produces India Business Report, which is aired on BBC World News every Sunday. The show is ideated, shot, produced and edited completely from India, with segment contributions from the Delhi bureau.
As an intern my job is to research stories from ideation to execution, handle production tasks including voice-overs, Vox-pops and find expert /relevant people for the story to interview and assist on shoots.

My first Reporting job was a challenge but I believe in making the most out of every situation and reaching the goals by learning and perfecting multiple skill-sets.

-Banters: A satirical write-up appearing every Monday in Free Press Journal Newspaper. Wrote consistently over the weeks.

-Civic reporting: Covered pertinent issues affecting the city by visiting the Municipal Corporation's office headquartered at South Bombay. Interacted with various officials for the stories.

-Monsoon preparations by BMC
-Standing committee meetings
-Major accidents around the suburbs (Page one story)
-Campa Cola/BMC issue
-Interviewing the Assistant commissioner of BMC for a story.
-Investigative reporting on the fires that shook Vaity and Savani apartments in Mumbai and digging out stories related to mismanagement by various authorities.
-Interview with the Chief Fire Officer of Mumbai-Suhas Joshi.
-Preparing weather reports and other stories.

Worked on a show called Heavy Petting.

-Research: Conducted research to find suitable candidates to be on the show.

-Handled production tasks for the show like listing, winner selection, Recce amongst others.

-Worked on the software Final Cut Pro to do basic editing for the show.

First brush with print Journalism to learn the succinct work pressure and implore writing skills and achieve a perfect symbiosis of report writing, fact collection and verification.

-Worked on city news in close contact with senior reporters

-Understood the complexities of networking and finding stories

-Was inducted into QUEST-a series of educational interviews where I conducted interviews for the special supplement
